1744 m/h was the VAM of Contador and Rasmussen on the Peyresourde, a good performance on a 7.9% average gradient (the same of Alpe d'Huez but with less elevation).

Impressive the change of pace of the two dominators of this year's Tour: in the last 2 km they gained over 40" on the best adversaries.

But Vino was just as impressive.
In a breakaway for 140 km, he passed over the top of the Port de Bales with a 6' advantage on the yellow jersey group and lost only 30" over the last 40 km, basically riding alone.
28' was his climbing time on the Peyresourde (VAM=1620 m/h).
